The MtM tests
The sensitivity of in vitro assays that detect serum Immunoglobulin (IgE, IgG, IgM) has dramatically increased during the last twenty years. Current assays can detect as little as 0.01U/mL, which correspond to about 4ng/ml.
The MtM microarray test brings clear advantages in reducing both false negative and false positive results:
- It accommodates a number of replicated tests that increase precision and accuracy, thereby decreasing standard deviation around the threshold of sensitivity
- It simultaneously assesses the presence of serum immunoglobulins against a greater number of molecules. When interpreted correctly these reactions can dramatically contribute to the decrease both false positive and false negative results.

MtM is in the process of bringing to market the following tests:
Allergy
Autoimmune
Infectious Disease
Influenza
